A major component of life at Salem Church is small groups. Small groups offer each of us the following opportunities:
to get to know others better,
to have a group of people who are committed to supporting you in your spiritual growth and daily living,
to become involved in a hands on mission/outreach project.
No matter what small group you belong to at Salem, each has the same four key elements: Prayer (silent or aloud), Action (designing and implementing a mission or outreach project during the year to benefit those outside Salem Church), Learning (the topic is determined by the specific focus of each small group) and Sharing (spending time talking about what is going on in our lives).
The following groups are offered on a monthly basis. Some of the groups do not meet during the summer months.

We utilize a simple yet profound method for reading and praying the scriptures called Lectio Divina. We will be looking at the scripture passage which will be used for Sunday's upcoming sermon. This is a great way for you to see how the story of the Bible intersects with your own story, as well as a way to get more out of Sunday's sermon.
Participants: Those Interested In Reflecting On the Scriptures Prior to Sunday's Sermon

The death of a family member or friend can be difficult and extremely painful. It can be a great comfort to know you are not alone. The purpose of the group is to learn more about how to manage and understand grief.
