Youth Group
Salem United Church of Christ's Student Ministry Group is for all interested young people in 7th - 12th grade. During the school year, the youth meet regularly on Sunday evenings. The focus for each week varies, but can consist of devotions, discussion on contemporary topics, games and mission/outreach projects. Excursions, activities and events are also scheduled throughout the year.
Each year, the youth group conducts three fundraisers - past events have included a mystery dinner and hoagie sales. Proceeds from these fundraisers are used to support the annual youth mission trip. Recent trips include working on home repairs in West Virginia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and an intergenerational experience at Rosebud Indian Reservation in Rosebud S.D.
